About Us

We started looking at sandwich shops and deli’s during our travels around the country.  One thing that really impressed us was Boar’s Head meat and cheese.  We decided that if we ever had the opportunity to open a deli we would use Boar’s Head.  As luck would have it in November 2011 we opened KDH Deli. 

A lot of thought went into the type of sandwiches and subs we would have. We felt that if we were serving top quality meat and cheese that we had to also serve freshly baked bread.  It is not just about the meat and cheese.  We searched and tasted breads all over the Outer Banks and surrounding areas.  Finally we found the perfect match. 

Friends and family have been so supportive of us during all of this.  Our neighbors here in Kill Devil Hills, many in the food industry as well, have given us tips and suggestions as we grow.  We could not ask for a more supportive and loving community as Kill Devil Hills and the entire Outer Banks family. 

Many places close during the winter here on the Outer Banks.  We decided to not only open during the winter, but stay open year round because of the local residents. 

Our goal is to provide a place where the local residents can gather for a great meal.  Our sandwiches are killer and are offered at a very reasonable price.  We use fresh baked bread every day, Boar’s Head meat and cheese, fresh produce to create wonderful salads, and we specialize in home made soups.  You will never find a better sandwich for the price. Give us a try, you won’t regret it.
